Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to what devotees ask most often before planning a visit.

Do you respond to WhatsApp messages on Sundays?
Yes. The temple is open every day of the year, including Sundays and public holidays. Our team monitors WhatsApp during temple hours — 05:00 AM to 10:30 AM and 05:00 PM to 08:00 PM. Messages received outside those windows are answered at the start of the next session.
Can I just walk in to attend a homam without booking?
You are always welcome to walk in and attend the daily Ganapathi Homam at 06:15 AM — no prior booking is needed for the morning ritual. However, for Amavasya Yagam, Pournami Yagam, and personal homam bookings, you must book in advance so the acharyas can prepare your sankalp with gothram and nakshatra. Walk-ins for major yagams without advance booking may not be included in the sankalp.
Do you provide a tax-exempt 80G receipt for donations?
Donation receipts are issued for all contributions made to our temple trust. For 80G tax exemption documents, please write to admin@sreebagalamukhidevitemple.com with your PAN number and the date and amount of your donation. Receipts are dispatched within 7–10 working days. Our accounts team can also confirm eligibility for your specific donation category.
Is the temple wheelchair-accessible?
The main sanctum and common areas are at ground level and accessible without steps for most mobility needs. If you require specific assistance — wheelchair support, a seated viewing area during yagams, or help with the access path from the road — please call our office one day before your visit so we can arrange support for you.
